After having the car up on the lift for the past year, Nick’s 1965 Impala finally saw the road again. We had few minutes to take these photos of it before rolling it back into the shop to complete the transmission swap (4L80E > Tremec TKX 5 Speed Manual). The new suspension consists of Ridetech’s full car coil-over kit, which includes new control arms front and rear, new sway bars, and coil overs. Braking is handled by a full kit from Baer, with 6 piston calipers in all 4 corners, with the Extreme Plus kit fitted to the front with 15″ rotors, and the Pro Plus kit out back with 14″ rotors. Last but not least, the only wheels worthy of covering up the Baer brakes comes from Forgeline. They are the OE1 wheels, in 19″ diameters front and back, and wrapped it Nitto NT555 G2 rubber all the way around.

Here’s a shot of the car before we lifted it on the new Mohawk lift with the wheel adapters.

Love the 65 Imp SS. I have the same year SS. Would you be open to sharing the LS swap info and where you sourced your swap parts/kit? My car is a 283 4 speed stick with a 12 bolt (Eaton carrier, Moser 31 spline axels). I’m wanting to do an LS swap (preferably an LS3 instead of a truck LS).
If you are open to sharing some info email is swaldroop1@gmail.com
Thanks
Tommy
