    I do not recall any straight axle 55 Plymouths…Saw a few 57 and up done up this way, but none of the earlier ones………..A freind had his 53 Belvedere hardtop jacked up in front so it looked like a gasser, but that was to wade thru the snow in N.D while he was chasing fox or to check his mink traps on the way to H.S…

    I have owned two of them One I put a Red Ram Hemi in. The other a 318. The one with the 318 was about to receive a big make over with a Power Dome Hemi, a straight axel, which was popular at the tie. It would have been painted black, but the whole damn works was stolen. The Power Dome had been tricked out before I bought it. We even had bad guys back in the 60’s…

    Real racers paint and keep their cars waxed to reduce drag. I waxed my Chevy before each drag week-end and wiped it down between runs.
