I had a ’69 SS 396, 325 HP 2 dr hardtop, 4 speed, bucket seats, blue, black interior and no vinyl top. I thought the vinuyl top took away from the lines of the 2 door hard top. Bought it new in Columbia, SC while stationed at Fort Jackson. Traded in a 68 VW beetle we got for a wedding present. Had to sell it 3 years later for another vw beetle when we had Number 1 Son. It was my favorite car until the ‘vette I bought last week. But I still wish I had that ’69 Chevelle.

I also had a 69 Chevelle. My father in law had a body shop and helped me paint it from the original blue to yellow, which was a popular color at that time. Before that I had a 66 Chevelle SS 396 with 325 horses and four on the floor. Wish many a ye that I had kept both those cars.
