Can anyone verify if this is a 1972 AMC AMX? It was apparently abandoned and overgrown with bushes.

Check this out. A Classic Nation member sent us these photos and described the circumstances:

"Belongs in family just digging it out. Not sure what next. Says AMX but googling it brings me to stuff about AMC Javeline. Its my brothers he doesnt live around here and had no idea it had been over grown with bushes. A 1972."

Does anyone have any additional insight into this vehicle?
