I am thinking about buying a 1950 Town & Country Woody i found from a very old couple. It is in great shape but the engine was swapped out in 1980. How much will that decrease the value? Any info would help?

Interesting. What was the original engine, and what is currently in the vehicle? It’s possible that the engine that is “factory” could located, because often times the date codes for the engine only indicate the year the engine came from and not the specific car.

the original was a 1950 straight eight. He also changed from 6V Positive ground to 12V at the same time. Drove the car. Drives great. Very much a luxury car. Original price was $7,000 in 1950. Absolutely no rust. Green coupe whit white hard top. Parked in the garage since 1956. Only driven in the summer.
