    Lemans could be had in a two door pillar sport coupe. A Tempest could also be ordered to look like a Lemans. That is how I ordered my ’66 and ’68 Tempests Sprint options

    It’s a 1965 Pontiac Tempest Custom 326 CI V8… I Own a 66… if it’s an automatic would be a Turbine 300 2 speed.

    Yeah I did get the number wrong it is 326, but it’s still a ’65 Tempest, count the letters on the back I did you get 7 not 6!

    NOPE IT’S A 65…64 THE LIGHTS WERE SIDE BY SIDE 66 & 67 THEY CHANGED THE GRILL IN 65 WAS THE FIRST YEAR THE LIGHTS WAS UP AND UNDER AND TEMPEST WAS THE ONLY ONE WITH THAT TYPE GRILL GTO AND LEMANS GRILL WAS LIKE SQUARE INSIDE THE LIGHTS AND CENTER POST…

    this a 65 base tenpesst do to the small nose grill, but the 389 on the sides because this car was born with a 230 cid 2 speed. or 3 speed manel.

    It is NOT a Lemans because if you look CLOSELY at the grill you will see it is totally different than the Tempest!
