One of my favorite shows of the year is the Spokane Goodguys. It always seems to be a great combination of my favorite local hot rods and many other classic cars that I have never seen. The 2008 Goodguys Car Show is just around the corner:

Huge Indoor & Outdoor Happenin’ at the Spokane Co. Fair & Expo Center featuring 1000’s of hot rods, customs, classics, muscle cars and trick trucks thru ’72. Shop at 100’s of vendor/exhibitor booths or take a trip to the Swap Meet for automotive related parts and Cars 4 Sale. There’s fun for the whole family with a Goodgals Gallery, Model Car Show and kids free model make and take plus live entertainment all weekend long!

Even though I wasn’t able to make it to the 21 Annual Pacific Northwest Nationals Goodguys classic car show in Puyallup, I have managed to uncover some great pics across the web. Bballchico posted some great pictures on Flickr, and there are a lot of them! This thread on The HAMB also has some great pictures.

Eventing is the ultimate test of both horse and rider, and encompasses three disciplines: dressage, show jumping and cross country. It’s also one of a handful of events where men and women compete on equal terms, proved by World Champion Zara Phillips.

Land Rover has been a long-term supporter of World Champion Zara Phillips and now they’ve announced that the Land Rover Discovery 3 is the Official Vehicle to the British Eventing Team (William Fox-Pitt, Sharon Hunt, Mary King, Tina Cook and Daisy Dick) the very best of British luck this summer.

And here’s a video with the latest commercial, called Horsing Around, in which Land Rover shows their support for the team. Pretty funny, right? Enjoy! And you can find more info about Land Rover and the British Eventing Team on the official Land Rover website.
