Classic Nation

I grew up in LA in the '60s and '70s and I was wondering if anyone else remembers LA police AMC matadors and Plymouth Belvedres. The ones that came in basically three colours. Black, Dark Green, Brown and occasionally white. They were unmarked cars and usually had single yellow lamp dsicretely in the rear window. if you recall they all ran souped up factory works engines and stiffened suspensions. they sat tighter than the pedestrian equivalent and they were fast.

Does anyone have a picture or know more about them. As you can tell i loved them and alwasy wanted one. 

Oh yeah they all had standard rims and non-descript hubcaps. This of course made them stand out.
