The 21st annual Goodguys Pacific Northwest Nationals hot rod show is this weekend!

“Puyallup, WA – Celebrating its third decade, The Goodguys 21st Pacific Northwest Nationals hot rod & custom car show roars into the Puyallup Fair & Events Center July 25, 26 & 27 turning the popular downtown fairgrounds complex into a “Disneyland on Wheels!” Event features include a giant car show, featuring over 2,000 1972 & earlier rods, customs & classics, a vendor exhibit midway, indoor car show, Friday Night Drags at Pacific Raceways in Kent, a pinstriper’s brush bash, live musical entertainment and a host of other automotive themed activities.

The event will have everything the auto buff and gear head could ever want. Cars for as far as the eye can see will fill the palate of any serious auto aficionado. As many as 2,000 1972 and earlier cars and trucks are expected. For those who prefer their hot cars on a smaller scale, as in miniature version, model car giant Revell-Monogram will sponsor a model car show, complete with a “Make and Take” program on Saturday where youngsters can build a model at the event and take it home with them.”

Even though I was no where near Ohio this past weekend for the annual Goodguys Nationals car show, our friend Bob was on the scene and snapped a few of his trademark stunning pictures. You can check out some more of his pictures at his Flickr page. Here are some of my favorites:

As you can see, it was a rainy and cloudy day. Luckily for us, that didn’t stop Bob from grabbing these amazing pictures.

Like I mentioned earlier, we took a bunch of pictures at the annual Car d’Lane show on Fathers Day weekend. I even shot some sweet videos that I will be adding to the site just as soon as I get them edited.

It is that special time of year again; a time when the area’s sweetest classic cars converge on Coeur d’Alene for the annual Car d’Lane car cruise and show. This event is probably the one that I have been to more than any other classic car event, and this weekend looks like the weather will be perfect for another great one.

Last year, we saw a ton of new sweet cars that I had not seen around CDA before, so I am hoping that this year will be even bigger than before. I’ll be taking my camera and video camera out there tonight for the cruise and for the show tomorrow, so I should be able to have the new pictures and vids added to the website on Sunday. In the mean time, here are some of my favorite pics from the show last year.

Last year at this event, we also saw RBI’s creation. Hopefully we’ll see them again this year!

I got really excited when I read about a classic car show and cruise in Missoula Montana. Then I saw the date: Hoopfest weekend. There goes that idea…

If I wasn’t such an avid basketball player, I would most definitely make the couple-hour trip to Missoula for this great sounding event. Has anyone been to this show in the past? Share your stories…
