Where is the Sun?

The last few days in the Inland Northwest have been somewhat gloomy, with chances of rain threatening each day. Memories of some past years’ Car d’Lane show are the only things that I have to tide me over. Speaking of which, this years show is quickly approaching. Mark your calendars, folks! This year should be great. Keep your fingers crossed for good weather.

In the mean time, lets reminisce about the sweet rides of years’ past.

Throwback Cars

I recently had my first opportunity to see the new Charger and Camaro first-handedly at the 2008 auto show. Although I think we can all agree that nothing compares to the nostalgia and feel of a true classic, these particular tribute cars certainly earned my respect.

GM and Chrysler really nailed it with the lines on these cars. What do you guys think?

Pre-War Classic Cars - who likes them?

Ever wonder who is into the really, really old cars? The good folks over at Hemmings talk about this very topic in their new Collector Car Radio episode. It is true - you see these types of cars at events every now and then, but they are often overlooked in the mainstream press by the more common car eras being muscle cars, pony cars, ect. Any thoughts on the future of these really old cars as the hobby progresses?

Get your Classic Impala out on the Road and Drive it!

If you are like us, you can’t get enough of a nicely built Impala. Here a a cool picture of a 67′ Impala that we snapped at a car cruise last year just before it was getting dark. You’ll notice the 1965 Impala sneaking up right behind it - trying to get a little camera time.

Nick still has his 65′ Impala SS in the garage with the fender torn apart and bondo falling out of the giant hole. But - he assures me that he’ll be replacing the entire quarter panel this summer and roller painting the entire car. We’ll see.
