Ebay find of the Day: 1951 Jaguar Mark VII Saloon
March 11, 2008 – 9:59 pmI just came across a really sweet deal on Ebay. It is anyones guess what the reserve is, but I am betting the winner will get this car at a great price.
Most Beautiful Saloon for Promanading and Showing Off. Everyone will look. Engine 500 hours since rebuild. Power Steering added in 2002. RR Fender Mirrors. New Paint 9-07. New Brakes - Fuel Lines - Electric Fuel Pumps. New Radio w/Cassette Player. Radial Tyres less than 1,000 miles. Interior Burgandy Velour & White Leatherette. Burgandy Carpet. All Done in 2002. Beautiful Wood Dash and Panelling. I have over $30,000 invested not including my hundreds of hours of labor. You can drive this Beautiful Vehicle for a fraction of what I’ve spent restoring it. I have too many cars and motorcycles and can’t afford to keep them all. I’m on a fixed income and with gas prices my spending power has dropped off to near nothing. Low Reserve will help. Get yourself a beautiful vehicle to take to car shows or the store. Everyone Will Look - I Guarantee It!
The current price is $5200 with 3 bids (reserve is not yet met). Time left is 3 days 11 hours as of this posting. Anyone want to throw a bid in?

Update:
One really lucky bidder scored this baby for $13,500. What a deal! NADA guides priced this thing a lot more than that, at low $14,000, mid $21,200, and high $45K. I had a feeling…

It’s hard to judge a real classic via an ebay post, but it sure sounds like a great deal. It’d be great to follow up with the buyer.
