Big Wheels on Classic Pickups

October 4, 2007 – 7:54 pm

Over the last few years I have noticed the trend where car builders stuff the biggest wheels possible under classic autos. While I personally like the tasteful look of a good-sized wheel, some people just go nuts by putting on wheels that are just way too big for the vehicle. Classic trucks in particular seem to look ridiculous with huge wheels, but I noticed this great looking truck that was up in Nelson at the Queen City Car Cruise and Show last month. I think this has the perfect stance, and I really love the way the wheel/tire combo fill out the space while still not looking too extreme. This is a great example of how a careful selection of a wheel and tire combo can set the look of a car off!
