A Classic Car Burger Joint in Post Falls
One of our most favorite places to stop for burgers and brew on our way out to car events in either Post Falls or Coeur d’Alene is the Hot Rod Cafe.
This fun place is always swarming with classic hot rods and bikes, and is a very popular destination spot for car cruises out that way. Lots of car clubs and groups host events that either start or stop here. On any given warm summer Friday or Saturday night, it isn’t uncommon to stumble on a mini car show in the parking lot!
The Hot Rod Cafe website also has a great event guide for some local car club events. We would love to see a photo gallery on the site to show off some of the fun events they have there.
1965 Impala SS Restoration Project Begins…
The time has come. I have started the process of finishing the body work and paint, as well as the interior of my 1965 Impala Super Sport. I have found too many rusted spots and body cancer to let this go on any further. I imagine this process will very time consuming. I am hoping to do some “garage” type procedures to minimize cost while trying to maintain exceptional results. I have also started to do little things like remove and polish the chrome, such as the grill (I stripped the entire grill of the factory black paint) and will be going with a custom look. After doing much research, I have also sourced a way to paint my car, myself, for less than $50. Don’t start laughing quite yet…. I will use a roller instead of a spray gun. I know this seems silly, but I will show you how I do it every step of the way, and here are a few pictures to show what I am working with.
Goodguys Classic Car Show back in Spokane!
Gear up for one of the best car shows in the in Inland Northwest! Its time for the 6th Great Northwest Nationals Goodguys Car show at the Spokane Fair & Expo Center!
The event is August 17, 18, 19, 2007 and will feature Hot Rods, Custom and Classic Cars through 1972!
Its only $13 to get in - so grab the family and jump in the hot rod and head down to the show! We’ll see you there.
