Car d’Lane Car Show 2007

We just got back from the 2007 Car d’Lane car cruise and show in Coeur d’Alene Idaho this weekend - what a great time! This year the weather was decent for the Friday night cruise, but it rained a little today at the show. Luckily, it didn’t seem to stop the thousands of spectators and hundreds of cars that filled the main drag of downtown Coeur d’Alene. As always, this cruise and show had many cars that we hadn’t seen in other local car shows or on the street around town.

The cruise started at about 6pm. The sun was shining and the smell of vintage Detroit iron was in the air!

Oh yea - there were some flame thrower cars there too! I took a few quick videos.

As the sun started to set, the backdrop of the Coeur d’Alene sky made the classic cars really stand out.

We posted up at the Iron Horse downtown and enjoyed the evening until the wee hours of the morning. Hot rods were still out on the street and people were having a great time.

The next morning, we rolled on over to the show with the overcast skies threatening rain. It started sprinkling a little bit, but it didn’t stop anyone from showing off their cars. There were so many great looking classics at this show that it is hard to only post some of the pictures here.

Here is a sweet little 1964 Buick Riviera.

This classic muscle car looks like it is ready to hit the drag strip.

This 1964 Impala SS had a great lowered stance and fantastic paint.

This corvette was stunning! The paint is similar to the color that might go on the 1962 Impala SS. This Sting Ray was a show-stopper!

I wouldn’t really call this car a sleeper though - it looks fast just sitting there.
