Spokane Auto Boat Speed Show

The 44th annual Auto Boat Speed Show will be in Spokane this weekend at the Spokane Fair and Expo Center. I have gone to this show a few times over the years, and while it is a variety of vehicles, I have always enjoyed seeing the hot rods at this show.

A few years ago, I saw a sweet 58 Impala that had a candy apple red with metal flakes - definitely one of the coolest cars I have ever seen. I will be going to it this year, and I will be posting pictures of some of my favorite rides!

Engine Rebuild or New Crate Engine?

I am thinking about doing some engine work to my 1967 mustang. Like I mentioned, it has the original 289, but it could use some spicing up. It is a matching numbers engine, with 93k original miles on it now.

I am torn; should I yank out that engine and drop in a fresh 302, or rebuild that engine with newer mods, like manifold, carb, rockers ect. What is your opinion? Stick with the matching numbers engine, or drop in something fresh? Note: this car isnt a race car, but a weekend/summer driver.
