A little Classic Car History
January 16, 2007 – 9:20 pmRecently I had the great opportunity to learn a little more about a company that has been synonymous with the classic car industry - Hemmings Motor News. Most classic car enthusiasts know about Hemmings and the various publications that they put out. But here is a little history you may not know.

Hemmings has been around since 1954 when Ernie Hemmings started it in Illinois. It was later bought by Terry Ehrich sometime in the 1960s which is when it was moved to its present day location in Bennington, Vermont. Hemmings Motor News is mostly know for its great magazines which include the flagship and three others; Hemmings Muscle Machines, Hemmings Classic Car and Hemmings Sports and Exotics.
In addition to operating these publications, Hemmings has a very prominant auto blog which serves up hot rod and muscle car articles to all types of auto enthusiasts.

Hemmings staffers can be spotted at car shows and events across the country. They sponsor a few events and around their area. For more information about Hemmings, check out the official Hemmings Blog. Special thanks to Dan for the great info!
