It isn’t every day that you see a 1965 Impala SS. It is even rarer that you see one that can beat a brand new Corvette in the quarter mile.
But that is exactly what this 1965 Impala SS can do. The rumble of the engine was certainly one of the loudest I have ever heard, and I am sure that she can scoot down the track too.

I have been going to car shows for all of my life, and I have seen more classic cars than I can remember. Over the past few years, I have noticed the huge increase in the popularity of American Racing’s very popular wheel, the Torque Thrust 2.
In my personal opinion, these are one of the best looking wheels that can be put on a classic car. They go well with just about any style, from hot rods, muscle cars, classic lowriders, and just about any kind of street rod. I have noticed more and more people putting these on their cars.
These wheels have the unique ability to change the entire look of a car or truck when they are on them, and in my opinion, there aren’t many other wheels on the market that have the same effect for such a wide range of classics.
We have three cars with 17 inch Torque Thrusters (that’s what we call them) and you can be sure that the next wheel modification I make to the Mustang will be a shiny new set of the American Racing Torque Thrust 2 wheels.
8 commentsMy favorite Cadillac? Nope - Buick!
Last week I posted this picture and announced that it was a great looking Cadillac. Scott was able to quickly point out that it wasn’t a Cadillac at all, but a Buick!
Looking at the picture now, I feel pretty stupid. :) It looks really similar to a Cadillac that I did see at this show, but this obviously isn’t the picture of it. Thanks for pointing that out!
2 comments1957 Plymouth Belvedere Buried
I just read a story on Autoblog about the fine folks in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1957 when they buried a 1957 Plymouth Belvedere with all types of nostalgia from the era.
Apparently, they are going to be digging the car back up in 2007 – the 50th anniversary of the car being buried. What is even more fascinating is the car is supposed to still be in good condition!
I wonder if anyone at the car burying ceremony will be at the car digging ceremony?
